Kicked off today’s session with some solid technique work on the snatch. Specifically we focused on speed under the bar, and working to catch it in the deepest possible overhead squat. So we kept the weights down and really drilled technique in volumes.
The results seemed to speak for themselves as previously habitual power snatchers Warren, Ruairi, Rosie and even Kieran got noticeably deeper in their catch positions. Alongside that I saw terrific improvements in form across the board, with Vincent, Kate, Stephanie, Sophia and Big Mike all catching the eye.

Oh yes…the WOD…
- 60 Burpees
- 50 Sit-ups
- 40 Kettlebell swings
- 30 Pull-ups
- 30 Kettlebell snatches (15 on each arm)
- 20 Handstand push-ups
- 10 Burpee box jumps
Nothing particularly sophisticated about this one. Just grind through until the end. Fabulous work by all in pretty muggy, humid conditions today.
And those final burpee box jumps really sucked…
