WOD 5 July: Max Pull -ups!

Today was an interesting class spattered with mini-metcons some pull ups and lovely presses.

Beginning with a Fran variation:

12,15,9 Burpees and Pull ups (the pull ups were intentionally manageable)

Followed by 1 Rep max pull up x5

A mention of Kieran’s Balls of Steel as a 32kg kettlebell swings right where you don’t need it. All I can say is I’m not going there for first aid!

We then went for a leisurely run (lol)

800m -2.30m rest

400m -2m rest

200m -1.30m rest

100m x4 -rest as ness

(as you can see some of the crew prefered to row)

After getting our breath back pressing was on the board. 4x10reps

Kate smashed it using a 20kg bar! Whoop Whoop! Also Matthew our visitor from California pressing a massive 50kg!

If all this wasn’t enough we slipped in a little tabitha squats for good measure!

All in all well done troops! Whoop whoop.

  1. It was 2 laps for 800 (so actualy >900), 1 lap for 400, down and up the alley for 200, down the alley + walk back for the 100.
