WOD 8 Jan: New Beginnings

My first Saturday class of the new year. I was very excited to see two full classes and EIGHT beginners booked for the third class.  There is something about a new year that makes us reflect on the past and make plans for the future.  Eight beginners clearly demonstrates this.  So I did not want to let you down.

Warm up consisted of some front, back and over head squat revision.  Followed by thruster and burpee revision.  Finishing with 6 count burpees!

The strength element was a 12 minute pull up ladder.  Add one extra ladder every minute until failure.  You could use bands, be strict or kip’ or mix it up.

We the went on to the WOD.  Maximum thrusters for 12 minutes BUT with 5 burpees every minute on the minute. The suggested  weight was your Fran weight or a little less.  A big nod of respect for the ever smiling Jennie who scored 75 thrusters!

A big welcome to our new beginners in my third class.  I look forward to seeing you all in the main classes.
