WOD 1st August Sweat and Push ups

02 Aug

Summer has finally landed! Whoop Whoop.

Temperature high outside meant keeping well hydrated in the gym.

Session started with smashing out the drills for a push press. It’s one of these moves that if not rehearsed can often mean the technique is forgotten making for very inefficient movement.

This lead us nicely onto push jerk drills. I gotta say over the last 4 weeks big improvements have been seen  by the coaches regarding the technique and execution of the move. Well Done Crew!!

This was all because we were working a push jerk for strength today.

After all this practise, racks were needed and bars.

Sets were of 3 reps and after a couple of warm up sets it was time to work through 3 working sets.

Halfway through my first class Cindy rolled into the gym on In-line Skates. I had to take a photo and post it.

I love your style Cindy.

The met con for today went as follows…..

5 cycles of

3 minute AMRAP

6 Kettlebell Swings 32/24Kg

9 Push Ups

12 Squats

1 Minute rest between cycles.

This proved harder then it looked and had you all in a sweat! I have to thank Nick for the leading photo on this blog!

Well Done
