WOD 9th January (am)

Kicked off Max Effort Monday with an exploration of the box squat. Much greater focus on the posterior chain than our regular back squat and a whole new skill to learn as well!

To get the heart rate going, we did some heavy sandbag drags paired with hanging l-sits.

 

The WOD also had a bit of a strength bias:

5 rounds for time & quality

1 Strict pull-up

1 Handstand push-up

3 Strict pull-ups

3 Handstand push-ups

5 Strict pull-ups

5 Handstand push-ups

 

Range of motion was key for the HSPUs with a goal of completing all sets unbroken (especially the 1’s…)
