So… last night saw the start to a new format to my class. Team WOD’s are no more (see previous post) and standard CrossFit WODs are in, or are they standard!?

For those of you that know me, you know that I don’t really like taking the easy option! I believe that I can use my experience in getting thrashed for absolutely no reason but to build moral fiber to help you guys push those boundaries and always put a foot outside that comfort zone by performing QUALITY functional movements at HIGH INTENSITY across broad time and modal domains and no less!

To that end…. Last night’s HERO WOD:

27 Box Jumps (24/20′)

20 Burpees

11 Squat Cleans (65/40kg)

Athletes were given a 20 minute time cap to do as much of this WOD as possible, and here’s how everyone did!

Tune into our Facebook page to see photos from the workout (Andrew, if you could do the honors?)

Great work guys, good serviceable lifts all round! Big shout out to Ben and Adnan amongst others that really dialed in their tekkers to do this WOD RX’d!

  1. This was my first full class out of foundations and it was a baptism by fire. It was absolute hell!

  2. I knew what was coming, and had been dreading it all day (finger hovering over cancel button!) But as you so rightly pointed out, if Klepto and all the guys like him can be so heroic – a few box jumps won’t kill me.

Thanks Tom – that was an awesome class.

  3. Stephen – well done for getting through it. It was a baptism of fire for the regulars too – that was very tough – twenty yard stares all round at the end. But its good to get a reality check once in a while.

BTW I don’t recommend Klepto on a hangover and internal chilli induced mayhem. It didn’t mesh nicely.
